Hogrefe Digital Solutions – Software Engineering

The Hogrefe Test System (HTS) enables the digital administration, evaluation and management of psychological assessments. The platform is available in 19 languages and includes more than 500 assessment procedures worldwide. Our digital solutions help professionals better understand people and make informed decisions, for example in psychology, education and human resources.

We continuously develop the HTS, improve existing features and create customised solutions for our customers. In doing so, we combine established psychological assessments with modern technology and user-centred software development.

Our tech team consists of more than 60 experts in software engineering, psychology, software testing, UX/UI design, product management and support. Together, we develop our product, learn from each other and bring new ideas to life. Our tech teams are based in Boston, Helsinki, Madrid and Göttingen, among other locations.

Our software engineers develop innovative digital solutions for psychological assessments – from intuitive frontends to powerful backend and infrastructure components. We work with web technologies such as React and Next.js, develop our backend with Java and MySQL, and use Docker, GitHub, Gradle, Puppet, Foreman and Datadog for development, deployment and monitoring. APIs, test automation, performance and security are just as important to us as a great user experience and accessible applications.
