#27 More than a Party
Hogrefe celebrated its 75th anniversary at the beginning of October, with 300 Hogrefe employees coming together from across the global Hogrefe Group.
At the beginning of October 2024, we had the great pleasure of celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Hogrefe Publishing Group together. Under the theme "More than a Publisher," we experienced the diversity of Hogrefe through a series of fascinating “discovery” days. Guided tours, meetings, short presentations and personal encounters provided ample opportunities for professional exchange and personal reunions. The highlight of the week was the formal celebration, during which the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra took us on a musical journey through the 16 countries that now make up the Hogrefe family. It was a significant milestone; one that allowed us to reflect on the past and look ahead to the future with great anticipation.
Everyone helped with the preparations: whether it was assembling welcome packs for guests from around the world, decorating the event venue with homegrown flowers, or embellishing the stairs in the three company colours – lime, azure, and ruby red. Employees at the Göttingen locations offered guided tours of the historic publishing buildings, and even the departments less traditionally associated with publishing proudly demonstrated how they contribute to shaping the publishing world and complete Hogrefe's comprehensive offering.
The collaboration and dedication of all involved truly underscored the spirit of the Hogrefe community during this remarkable celebration and had its climax when everyone danced with national flags to the Hogrefe “Jubilee” songs.
