To compensate for the paper we use for our products we joined "Trees for All" to plants trees in the Netherlands and abroad.
Planting trees together for a green and healthy world
Of course products are important to a publisher: they are the reason for our existence. But for Hogrefe Uitgevers, it is even more important what social impact our products have. The ultimate goal is to use our diagnostic materials, training courses, books, and e-learnings to support people so that they can participate fully. We feel this is our social responsibility.
It won't be long until Hogrefe will be a fully digital publisher. But right now, many of our products are still printed on paper. What we also feel as our social responsibility is that we offset our CO2 emissions as much as possible. Therefore, we print as much as possible on recycled paper and have been donating trees every year through “Trees for All” for quite some time. In this way small Hogrefe forests are created in the Netherlands and in other places around the world and we help create a better climate and healthy living conditions for everyone.
