#18 ICF Core Sets for ADHD and autism
An ongoing research study at Karolinska Institutet, Sweden.
In our desire to offer our customers interesting scientific insights, Hogrefe Sweden invited Lovisa Alehagen, PhD student at Karolinska Institutet, to present a current research study in a webinar. The webinar was conducted in March and again in May.
The research delves into understanding the everyday experiences of individuals beyond their ADHD and autism diagnoses. Currently, a study is being conducted at KIND, the Center of Neurodevelopmental Disorders at Karolinska Institutet, exploring the application of ICF (the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health) Core Sets.
This comprehensive research initiative investigates the functional aspects of daily life among individuals with ADHD and/or autism. The aim of employing ICF Core Sets is to provide a nuanced portrayal of individuals that transcends generic diagnostic criteria, focusing instead on their everyday realities.
The short film (in Swedish) shows a 4 minute clip from the webinar about ICF Core Sets.
