The LJI App: Flexible, accessible leadership assessment at your fingertips

The new LJI App uses the science behind the Leadership Judgement Indicator, 2nd Edition (LJI-2) and the trusted situational judgement questions from LJI-2 Standard version in a new animated, gamified version of the LJI-2, for a more dynamic, modern, and accessible testing method. Particularly useful in development contexts or in recruitment where an audio/visual element could be beneficial for the candidate's preferences or needs, the LJI App adds colour, animation, and audio to a well-respected, validated, and reliable measure.

LJI App itself works a bit like a card game – after reading through a scenario, the test taker is presented with four digital cards in their deck, 'playing' their cards to show the option they would be most likely to choose in real life.

Why consider the LJI App for leadership assessment?

For the test taker, it offers a range of accessibility features to make the assessment available to a wider population:

  • Bite-sized content: Each scenario is divided into smaller, manageable sections, making the content approachable and reducing cognitive load.
  • Comprehensive tutorial: An interactive tutorial at the start of the assessment familiarises test takers with the app's functionality, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Customisable font size: Test takers can customise the font size in the app, ensuring easy readability.
  • Read-aloud functionality: A built-in text-to-speech feature supports test takers with reading difficulties, fostering inclusivity.

For the test user, it offers two comprehensive reports (see the sample technical and sample personal insight) to explore leadership judgement in both developmental and selection contexts; a wealth of information for either option.

In addition, no personal data is collected or used within the apps; the test taker uses an anonymous code to access their session – removing any data protection concerns.

The LJI App can be purchased via our website, and then accessed using the Google Play or Apple App stores, or via a web browser. Contact us to find out more or to get started.
