'It was an absolutely fantastic course. Carol is clearly so knowledgeable and such a brilliant and insightful trainer. The course was well managed and the practical aspects all ran smoothly... It was brilliant. I would recommend this to anyone.'

'The course was fantastic and I was absolutely blown away by the knowledge and expertise of the course providers! I felt as though I was in safe and capable hands all the way!'

Course description

This virtual five-day course is for clinical professionals who are working in autism and are looking for training in both the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R). On completion of this course, delegates will be equipped to administer and code the ADOS-2 and the ADI-R to the level of Clinical Reliability. You will also receive a discount code to claim on your first order of ADOS-2 / ADI-R materials after the course (UK customers only).

  • Full clinical accreditation: On successful completion, delegates will be awarded a certificate of course completion to Clinical Reliability in both ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
  • Interactive learning: Participants will experience a dynamic mix of Zoom discussions and practical activities based on videos of ADOS-2/ADI-R administrations. A detailed case study will be used to study the process from ADOS-2 and ADI-R assessment through to classification and clinical report. Throughout the course there will be ample opportunities for questions and discussion.
  • Materials included: Delegates will receive all coding booklets required for administrations coding via courier ahead of the course. They will also be provided with access to all course videos and other resources for six months from the date of the course.

Course content

The course covers:

  • an introduction to ADOS-2 and ADI-R;
  • coding of all modules, including the ADOS-2 Toddler Module;
  • ASD diagnosis and classification;
  • ADOS-2 algorithms; and
  • embedding ADOS-2 and ADI-R into practice.

Suitability

The combo course is ideal if you are looking for clinical training in both ADOS-2 and ADI-R. No prior experience with the instruments is necessary. It will also be suitable if you have no prior experience in one of the instruments but have previously trained in the other and would value a refresher.

Typical UK applicants will have a background in psychology, psychiatry, paediatrics, or similar – see our FAQs or contact us to discuss.

Note that the combo course leads to clinical accreditation. It does not include assessment for research reliability – please contact us to discuss your options if you are looking for accreditation in research reliability.

Please note

Bookings can only be confirmed on receipt of payment / purchase order. This course will be conducted online via Zoom. This is an interactive course so please activate your camera when you join the Zoom. As with any third party application, we urge delegates to become familiar with the platforms and ensure they agree with any terms and conditions before signing onto the course.

Upon successful competition of the course, delegates will receive a certificate of attendance and a certificate of clinical reliability for the ADOS-2 and ADI-R – valid in the UK only.

Terms and conditions

Before booking please read our Terms and Conditions carefully and make sure you are aware of our rebooking and cancellation terms and fees.
