Power and Performance Measures (PPM)
Jim Barrett
Overview
The Power and Performance Measures (PPM) is a battery of nine aptitude and ability tests designed to meet the demands of occupational test users seeking high levels of reliability, validity and flexibility. Each of the nine PPM tests can be administered singly to test a test taker's ability level in any of the nine areas represented. Alternatively, the complete nine-test battery can be used for vocational guidance where meaningful distinctions between different abilities need to be ascertained in order to provide a test taker with a detailed picture of his/her aptitudes and abilities.

Product Description
The PPM battery measures a number of separately distinguishable psychological aptitudes. It thus provides information relevant for numerous diagnostic and assessment purposes. The tests which form the battery are independent of each other and are measure distinct ranges of ability. Each one will measure an area of reasoning which has value in its being specifically predictive. That is, each test stands on its own. Alternatively, it can be combined with other tests to give enhanced predictability. A summary of the nine PPM tests is provided below.
