Accessibility of our eBooks

Our eBooks, released since July 2025, offer many features that make reading easier – especially for people with visual or reading difficulties. They meet both technical and content requirements to be compatible with text-to-speech (TTS) software.

Accessibility According to Recognized Standards

EPUB: Complies with the EPUB Accessibility Guidelines 1.1.
PDF: Validated according to PDF/UA and WCAG.

  • All eBooks are semantically tagged, which means that the content is structured and understandable for assistive technologies.
  • EPUB: ARIA roles are used to provide semantic information about the structure and function of content.

Content is arranged in a defined or logical reading order (correctly marked headings, use of bookmarks, and navigation aids)

Any language changes in the main text are marked or encoded. However, there may be deviations in the bibliography.

Formulas and figures include alternative descriptions

Our eBooks are free from DRM protection and can be freely used and customized with assistive technologies.

The eBooks use high color contrast between text and background, facilitating quick and fatigue-free reading.
