Important information for our customers, authors and editors, and business partners

The unprecedented situation with the COVID-19 virus is evolving day-by-day and, for most of us, our workplaces and work methods are adapting just as rapidly.

Hogrefe’s physical offices will be quiet as most of our staff members are working remotely from home – we are lucky that we were already well-equipped to do this. Our online webshop is providing full service as usual. And our distribution center partners in the US (Ohio) and in Europe are also fully operational, while of course taking suitable precautions to ensure the health of staff. So please rest assured that we can and will continue to provide you with our full range of services, including delivery of both online and print books and journals.

For the moment, we urge you only to put your health and well-being – and that of your families – first. Please, if you have specific questions in relation to our service provision, do not hesitate to contact us directly – we remain committed to answering your questions and keeping our lines of communication open.

Here a selection of complimentary readings from our journals that we hope will provide some food for thought

In an attempt to help in these unsettling times that are dominated by news – and, sadly, fake news – about coronavirus and the COVID-19 pandemic, our editorial team has put together a selection of peer-reviewed scientific literature for those who want to read some science and look at evidence.

Work-Life Balance in the Time of Corona

The editors of our Journal of Personnel Psychology have put together reading lists of articles published in the journal that readers may find relevant to life and work during the current coronavirus pandemic.

Read research on:

  • Virtual or remote work
  • Balancing work, life, and resources
  • Working in health care

Physical Distancing and Emotional Closeness Amidst COVID-19

A guest editorial just released in our journal Crisis by Paul S.F. Yip and Pui Hing Chau draws on experience in Hong Kong during and after the 2003 SARS epidemic – what was learned then and how those lessons should be applied in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
