Marketing and Production Manager

Overview

Hogrefe Publishing is looking for a professional to join our team with a dual focus on marketing communications and the production of marketing and assessment materials. Working collaboratively with our Assessment Consultant, Director of Assessment, and Customer Relationship Manager, you will plan and lead our marketing outreach in the U.S. You will be responsible for our social media campaigns, source lists and create email campaigns around new products, and develop the design and content of periodic newsletters to support our assessments, books and journals.

Your production work will surround the development of testing materials as well as booth graphics, marketing flyers/brochures, and PowerPoint presentations. You will work within the Hogrefe Brand Guidelines and suggest strategies to promote our products both online and in-person. You may also have an opportunity to work with our companies in Europe and Brazil to plan marketing strategies and design communication materials.

  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns designed to increase market share and meet annual revenue and profit targets:
    • Campaigns should include email, social media outreach, conference exhibiting and advertisements.
    • Advertising opportunities for both assessments and books will need to be researched and implemented.
  • Design and produce appropriate product flyers.
  • Manage the design and production of new publishing projects, including design of manual covers and kit items (tags, record sheets, other items), liasing with print companies and other suppliers, and managing product quality control.
  • Manage product reprints as necessary, in collaboration with the publishing team, authors and suppliers.

Essential Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree in marketing, publishing, design, or a related field.
  • Expertise using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat, as well as using email marketing software and management systems (e.g., DotDigital).
  • Experience with scheduling and posting for business social media accounts, including Facebook, LinkedIn, X and Instagram.
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills with higher-than-average attention to detail and quality control.
  • Equally comfortable working as part of a team or independently.
  • Experience working in a psychological or publishing company a plus.
