The Children’s Depression Inventory 2 (CDI 2) is a comprehensive multi-rater assessment of depressive symptoms in youths. Depressive symptomatology is quantified by the CDI 2 based on reports from children/adolescents, teachers and parents. Developed based on the Original CDI, the CDI 2 retains many of the essential features. The updated version includes new items that focus on the core aspects of childhood depression, together, the inventories are a family of tools that accurately assess the presence and the severity of depressive symptoms. The scales include Emotional Problems and Functional Problems. Sub-scales include; Negative Mood; Negative Self-Esteem; Ineffectiveness and Interpersonal Problems.
