The Autism Spectrum Rating Scales – Adult (ASRS Adult) is a scientifically validated, adult-centred, multi-informant rating scale designed to assess symptoms and behaviours associated with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in adults.

The ASRS Adult is built on the trusted foundation of the original ASRS and informed by current ASD research, supporting accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and progress monitoring of ASD throughout adulthood.

High internal consistency values, strong test-retest results, and strong alignment between raters supports the precision of the ASRS Adult to measure ASD-related behaviours and the confidence clients can have when interpreting results.
Test Validity
Scores and scales are robust and validated through strong internal structure factor model fit, high correlations with other measures of ASD and related concepts, and effective classification accuracy statistics.
Norms
Normative samples of 2000 adults (1000 Self-Report, 1000 Observer) were stratified to closely match US demographics based on the 2023 American Community Survey.
Administration Time
The following are the average administration times:
- ASRS Adult: Self-Report and Observer = 15 minutes
- ASRS Adult–Short: Self-Report and Observer = 3 minutes
