###BOLD#TEXT[The DIPP-11 is the first purpose-built interview for ICD-11 personality disorders and clinical formulation of personality functioning broadly. It assesses personality disorder severity, trait domains, and Borderline Pattern.]###
Overview
The DIPP-11 (Diagnostic Interview for Personality Pathology based on ICD-11) is a semi-structured, clinician-administered interview for ICD 11 personality disorders, fully aligned with the official dimensional classification. It provides a comprehensive evaluation of personality disorder presence, severity, and related traits, including subthreshold personality difficulty, and supports a holistic clinical formulation rather than checklist-based diagnosis.

Product Description
###BOLD#TEXT[What does the DIPP-11 assess?]###
The interview assesses 16 core aspects of personality functioning spanning self and interpersonal areas (e.g., identity, self-worth, emotion regulation, relationships, harm to self or others, and global psychosocial impairment). Ratings are integrated to determine overall severity (mild, moderate, or severe personality disorder). In addition, the DIPP-11 includes structured ratings for the five ICD-11 trait domain specifiers (Negative Affectivity, Detachment, Dissociality, Disinhibition, Anankastia) and the optional Borderline Pattern.

Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists and Forensic Psychologists with legal and professional authority to diagnose mental disorders can administer the DIPP-11. Research assistants (or trainee graduate students in psychology or medicine) can administer the DIPP-11 but only under the supervision of someone with the appropriate qualification level.
We recommend that users are familiar with the ICD-11 personality disorder literature. Formal training to administer the DIPP-11 is not a mandatory requirement from Hogrefe, however it is advised.
Reliability
Very high inter-rater reliability reported (see User Guide for more detail).
Test Validity
Good evidence for convergent and discriminant validity against other ICD-11 measures (details are reported in the User Guide).
Administration Time
Most users complete the whole assessment in 75-90 minutes.
