Area of Use
Animal Fun is a unique movement program for improving physical and social skills in young children. Animal Fun was designed by physical therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists in Australia for use by health and education professionals in a variety of settings, though school/daycare/group settings are ideally suited.
Users of our Early Sociocognitive Battery (ESB) and other developmental assessments may consider recommending Animal Fun as a useful intervention tool for children needing additional work on motor skills and social engagement.
While reference materials include mention of the Australian school curriculum, it is not dissimilar to the developmental milestone guidelines outlined by the Center for Disease Control and American Academy of Pediatrics in the US.

Animal Fun is an effective program to help children ages 3 to 6 years improve their gross and fine motor skills and social skills. Interactive, exploratory, and non-competitive, Animal Fun will appeal to children of all abilities.
Animal Fun is simple to use for educators and health professionals working with young children. The program engages children to use their imagination within a playful environment as they practice a variety of movements specifically designed to target key muscle groups and fundamental movement skills.The aim is to improve the physical and social skills of all children, by utilizing the program as a high-quality Tier 1 intervention in a Multi-Tiered System of Supports Model (MTSS). By carrying out the program with a whole class, it works to accommodate the needs and abilities of all learners and eliminates stigmatizing those with difficulties.
