Product Description
The BIP-6F is a self-report measure that takes just 10 to 15 minutes to complete, making it well-suited for use in selection and development contexts. The assessment looks at the six factors of Ambition, Discipline, Social Competence, Cooperation, Dominance, and Stability, measured via a 42-item questionnaire. In contrast to many other assessments of personality, the BIP-6F has a distinct professional focus: only professionally relevant personality traits are included and all of the items in the questionnaire have a business focus.
Validated against the NEO-FFI-3 (NEO-Five Factor Inventory-3), the BIP-6F can provide valuable diagnostic information where individual description or assessment of personality traits in the workplace is important.

Qualifications

Reliability
The average for internal consistencies (Cronbach's Alpha) is 0.79.
Test Validity
The model tested using CFA (confirmatory factor analysis) demonstrated a satisfactory fit to the data for the BIP-6F scales and results strongly support the theoretical structure.
Norms
Standardization was completed on census-matching working population in the US (n=998) and the UK (n=567) and a combined US/UK management population norm (n=317) is also available. If a comparison for a non-native English speaker is desired, there are also norms for a Bilingual working population (n=1,309) and a Bilingual management population (n=436).
Processing Time
The BIP-6F Second Edition is an untimed assessment but takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
