Product Description
The IDS-2 provides information on strengths and developmental needs, painting a picture of where support is needed to help the child, adolescent, or young adult achieve their full potential. Its flexible modular design is easily tailored by the psychologist, and booklets and record forms are color-coded for ease of use during the testing session.
Based on CHC theory (Cattell-Horn-Carroll), the IDS-2 provides a robust measurement of intelligence factors. In addition to IQ, the IDS-2 evaluates executive functions, motor skills, social-emotional competencies, scholastic skills, and motivation. With 30 subtests organized across six domains, the design of the IDS-2 allows practitioners to tailor the assessment to each examinee’s needs, making testing more efficient and individualized.

Norms
The US standardization sample included 1,420 children, adolescents, and young adults from 30 states, and matches the 2020 US Census data for region, race/ethnicity, and parental education. Norms for the IDS-2 were calculated using the state-of-the-art psychometric technique known as “continuous norming” that allows for more precise calculations, which are more appropriate for interpretation and intervention, particularly at the younger ages. Scoring is online through HTS, a platform designed by psychologists for psychologists, reducing errors and removing the need for manual scoring. No license or subscription is necessary to use the platform and an IDS-2 scoring usage is included with the purchase of each paper record form.
